Isn't it expensive?
Compared to what? You're already paying every month — solar just changes where that money goes, and one day it stops. Payback is about 5 years; the panels run 25+. If cash is the blocker, 0% instalment and rent-to-own from RM199/month exist for exactly that reason.
Can I add a battery later?
Yes — it needs an inverter swap to hybrid. Most customers do it after the 10-year ATAP contract, when battery prices are lower and the tech is more mature.
What happens during a blackout?
On-grid systems shut off — that's a TNB safety requirement, not a flaw. Hybrid + battery keeps selected circuits running. If backup power matters to you, that points to Path B.
What if SOLS Energy closes down?
Fair question for any solar company. We've operated for 10 years, and PETRONAS chose to invest in us over every other solar company in the country. Your panels carry manufacturer warranties separate from us — you're covered either way.
My roof is old / rented / needs repairs.
We do a full roof check before any installation — we won't put panels on a roof that can't take them. For rentals, we can give you a simple one-pager for your landlord.
What documents do I get?
SEDA certificate, TNB bi-directional meter confirmation, system warranty registration, and the S&P — all in your customer folder. Ask any time.
